Post Rush tickets for the Chicago production.
I live just a cheap train's ride from Chicago, and I often go into the city to see shows and operas, etc. I haven't seen Jersey Boys yet, and I've been considering taking my girlfriend to go see the show.

I understand the basic idea of rush tickets...

Quote:
$25 rush tickets available for every performance!
Rush tickets go on sale at 10 am the day of each performance. Ten (10) front row seats are available at the Bank of America Theatre Box Office (18 W. Monroe) only. As many as forty (40) additional seats, subject to availability at select performances, are made available online at Ticketmaster.com and at the LaSalle Bank Theatre Box office. Limit two (2) tickets per patron; seats are limited view.

This sounds like it might be worth a try...does anyone who has seen the Chicago production know when people line up for said rush seats? Are we taking 8 o'clock or 6? If it matters, I'm shooting for a Wednesday matinee. The earliest I can get into the city is around 5:30. I could always get there nice and early to get the tickets, then my girlfriend can meet me down there later. Even if I don't get the tickets, there's still a good day in the city there.

Should I try to get these rush tickets?

My roommate rushed the show on a weekend matinee about a month ago. She and some of our friends got there around 8 and were the first ones, and within about 20 minutes a ton of other people showed up.

What puts a wrench in things is they sell rush seats for BOTH performances on a two show day at the same time, so you'd have to get in line with the people rushing for the matinee.

I agree with you "Very Angry Woman" !!!
I have experienced the same thing and was so annoyed by this. It kind of gets your evening off to a bad start. Maybe someone will figure it out and change the way they are handling it.
Otherwise, there will be more than one "Very Angry Woman" !!!

I never have had a problem with ticketmaster but many people do say they have bad experiences with them. I would say keep trying.

For the tickets you just look out the internet or the way from where you can get tickets directly.
You can also do advance booking for the rush tickets.
