Oh ok ok, I didnt see that before. I have never called a cast album a soundtract! how dare I! oh well I guess there is a first time for everything.

Oh my God!!!!!!! I adore the soundtrack!!! I am now like dying to see this show! My favorite songs are: Cherry, Oh What A Night, My Eyes Adored You, and Let's Hang On!!! I just hoe I can see the original Jersey Boys in time!

Whether or not it would be difficult or even impossible to tell the story of the Four Seasons without using their catalogue of songs, the show is, by definition, a jukebox musical. Yes, it falls into a specific sub-category in that it is autobiographical - like Buddy. But, in the broadest sense, as kathennessey says, the show tells a story using already existing songs.
Crazy For You does fall somewhere in between, but not between a revue and a jukebox musical as you imply. As a revised and reworked version of Girl Crazy, it falls in between "revisal/revival" and jukebox musical.
