I was just bored. The dancing was good, but the singing was lacking. The songs weren't memerable to me. I found myself not really caring who got cut (except for Cassie). The whole show was just boring to me. Give me Wicked anyday over Chorus Line...haha

 Nobody here hates you.
Strange that you mention Wicked as an alternative to ACL. Sort of tells me that you were expecting something similar because, really, the two shows are completely different animals.
I'm sorry you found it 'boring.' As I've mentioned before elsewhere, my reaction to it was overwhelming and keep in mind I knew NOTHING about it except that it had run on Broadway for 15 years and that it had lots of dance. So I didn't go in having been brainwashed by hype. In fact, I almost didn't go because the show just seemed boring to me but when I read that it was an exact recreation of the original Broadway production and the choreography was to be reproduced by Bayork Lee (sp?), I thought that might've been my last chance to see it in its original production, so I went. THANK GOD.
It's my second favorite show of all time. True, the score isn't one of my favorites and I don't think I've even played the cast albums since I first got them. Yes, some parts are clunky and others drag a bit, but as a whole, it's this beautifully woven work, expertly integrated and ingeniously staged. Ahh, I need my ACL fix sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon.
Where did you sit, btw?

I just found out that the Tour will be in Palm Springs in the next season, and I am trying to make sure I will be well enough to go... again.

Really?? I'm there.
Teapot, we have to see it together!!
My only fear is that the tour goes non-equity by the time it reaches Palm Springs. I've seen two tours in the past (a West Side Story and ACL '97 tour) turn to sh*t after having gone non-equity. Left me traumatized, lol.
The ACL one did the unforgivable--they SYNTHESIZED the brass. I...*died*
