Since when has casting well or according to voice type succeeded in films?

I could also see her playing Miss Jones in "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying".

Am I the only one who thought that, at first listen, her version of "And I Am Telling You..." was a bit over the top?

I thought it was a little under the top, if anything.

No matter who sings it though, sometimes that song can be a little hard on the ol' eardrums. After all, they're the only ones I've got, and years of DJing and collecting music has taken their toll on my hearing.

Either that or I still have swimmer's ear.

I think she will do great! I really want them to do a remake of "Little shop of Horrors" and I think she would be awsome as one of the narrators!

But that is my opion!

Love,

OMG that would be amazing!

I have a feeling she will be around for a long time, it's just a case of what direction her career will go in - theatre, movies, music?

I think they should make a revival of Dreamgirls on broadway I know she wouldn't but I want her to be in it. I think she will act more and then really take her music seriously and become a full time singer

Post Jennifer Hudson as Mrs. Muller in Doubt?
I heard a rumor that she is being considered to play the mother of the Catholic schol boy in the film version of Patrick Shanley's Doubt. Personally, I don't think she has the chops to do it. Meryll Streep is apparently cast as Sister Aloysius.

I don't think she'll become famous in the pop star sense, like Beyonce. And unless her acting improves, I don't see her lasting long in movies. My guess is that she'll stick to just singing, which she's great at.
