When London's production closed, it went on UK Tour, and the tour definitely had Temper Temper in it.

I saw the touring production of Mary Poppins in St. Louis. It had "Playing the Game" instead of "Temper, Temper". I was very disappointed. THe song was very dull and I was bored for the entire song. Nothing really happens; Mary stand behind the beds and does nothing while the toys dance around and sing "We're playing the game, playing the game..." over and over. The kids look terrified, despite the fact that nothing is really happening that would scare anyone. Then the toys all back up and gather around behind Mary and suddenly the kids have no toys and Mary is gone. I can't find a video of the song online anywhere, but you aren't missing much by not seeing or hearing this song.

Ew, "Playing the Game" freaked me the f out. And if it's not as scary as "Temper, Temper" I'm glad that I didn't see that one.

So, I have heard there are differences in the character Mary in the live version verses the theater version, but are there any other differences?

So, will 'Playing the Game' or 'Temper, Temper' be in the Australian production?

I hope so, I don't want to see that sugar coated bullsiht that's been on Broadway.
But I'm seriously worried it as it seems to be advertised in a 'direct from broadway fashion'.
But I'm not in Australia and am judging this from oz newspaper articles, so I'm hoping to be wrong.

They probably will go with the 'direct from Broadway' thing. Damn it! I want to see 'Temper, Temper' it it!

It's amazing the things they sugar-coat these days...it's like Broadway doesn't want anything "too dark" for the kids so they can "stay innocent" for as long as possible. Honestly, they are so clueless.

^ That is true, there are many, many worse things. But, it being a Disney (family) show, I guess they want to make sure kids will go. Still, it can be taken a bit too far.

Hopefully they will not have implemented this change into the US National Tour yet. Does anyone who has seen the show know if "Temper Temper" is still within that production?
