Love the movie, hate the stage show.
The movie outlined a really good stage show for them, but somehow they felt the need to make changes.
They screwed up Supercalifragilist... The movie defined it as "what you say when you don't know what to say" and I think the show came up with "it means whatever you want it to mean". Lame!

It's not the same rousing number as in the movie.
The added songs aren't that good. They even messed up "Feed the Birds" which is much more moving in the movie.
Instead of Jane and Michael starting a "run at the bank" and getting Mr Banks in trouble, they came up with Mr Banks having to decide to whom to loan money. I think one was in Argentina and the other a plant in Scotland, and did he make the right decision

. Again Lame!
Apparently, Mary Poppins in the stage show is more in line with what Travers wanted. If so, I'm glad Walt Disney strong armed the vision of Mary to what he wanted.
