Post Lyrics change in Diva's Lament
Because the director didn't feel it was appropriate to make fun of Britney Spears anymore, the lyrics to Diva's Lament has been changed once again:

The old lyric was as follows:
"I am sick of my career
Always stuck in second gear
Up to here with frustration and with fears
I've no Grammy no rewards
I've no Tony Awards
I'm constantly replaced by Britney Spears
Britney Spears!"

The Lady of the Lake now sings:
"My love life is a mess
I've got constant PMS
My career is about as hot as ice
They hate me there backstage
They say I'm too old for my age
They're trying to replace me with Posh Spice
With Posh Spice!!"

why is it more appropriate to make fun of Posh Spice than Britney Spears? I think it's unnecessary, although i like the "constant PMS" bit.

The lyrics are different again in Melbourne. I can't remember them exactly (only seen it once so far) but because the Australian producer is female, they've tailored some of the insults to 'her', and they're trying to replace her with 'Kylie Minogue'.

I saw it the other night for the second time and it was actually really funny. the first time I saw it they did the Britney Spears one, but when I saw it the other night they did the Posh one. After she was like "They're trying to replace me with Posh Spice" she sang "I'll tell you what I want what, what I really really want" it was very funny :D

I saw it when Britney was still used, and the actress went "I'm constantly replaced by Britney Spears, BRINTNEY SPEARS! OOOO I SHAVED MY HEAD!"

It was classic :-)

Just be glad the show didn't have a Heath Ledger joke before.

My show choir did.

Yeah, why is making fun of one singer any worse than making fun of another?

It's not appropriate to make fun of Britney Spears because of all the psychological and legal trouble she's going through right now.

Posh Spice isn't going through that right now.
