You strike me as an ideal Charlie. This depends heavily on the age-range of the cast. If there are adults in the show, chances are you will not get a main role. If it is a children's production, you sound like a really great Charlie - I had a lot of fun playing him!

Break a leg!

When I was fourteen, i think it has been a while, i played Harry Beaton. He is a subplot character and the villian of the show. He sings with the chorus, I always thought he should have his own song, but he has a good few lines, is a big dancing part, and GETS TO USE A SWORD AND/OR KNIFE TO ATTACK SOMEONE AND THEN GET'S HIS HEAD BASHED IN ON A ROCK!!!!!!!! It is a great part, one of the most fun I've ever had and being the villian ROCKS! Sing something like "If I Can't Love Her" from Beauty and the Beast.

I disagree about singing something from Beauty and the Beast...its too contemporary.

I would choose another Lerner and Loewe piece to audition with or a Rodgers and Hammerstein, something that is more from that era in musical theatre.

As for roles, at 14 I don't really see you being cast as any of the main roles if adults are involved, which I believe when you said its community theatre and anyone can audition, you're implying that.

However the ensemble for this show can still be pretty fun. Good luck.
