Post Advice For A Female Tenor???
Er...hi. Since the last show I was in ended, I've been trying to find songs that I can audition with especially since I'm looking at college auditions in musical theatre. Normally I sing (technically it's contralto but even my voice teacher stopped calling me a contralto and says I sing tenor.) I started looking for songs that are in my range but they're primarily guy songs and as much as I'd love to sing something like Sunset Boulevard, I've been seeing a lot of people say that generally you should stick to your gender or parts that you can be imagined in. I have played a man, though. Also, it feels pretty silly transposing these high girl songs down to my range.

Anyways, my questions are What advice would you give and what might be songs I could possibly do for an audition?

Mod here... I can't see any hostile or unpleasant replies to your posts, so I hope you aren't being hassled by other MdN users. If you are, please let me know by private message and I'll do what I can to deal with them.
