Dear Jeh,

I remember your old Username, but I can't remember weather or not you were ever worried about my controversial topics. I can't believe that you were so YOUNG back then; I never knew that! Wow!

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Hi Duchess Of Mint, I remember you but can't remember specifically if I was worried about your posts. I remember there being a group of people, but I can't remember names. I was probably 18 by the time I started moderating, but I definitely was a young 18. Everything seemed so serious! It's funny how time gives you perspective.

I posted as ChingLing starting around 2000 or 2001 when I was in high school. Posted for a while, ended up as a moderator for the Misc forum. I don't remember how long that lasted but I was so frickin young and took this place so very seriously. My solution to the troll fights was to plead for everyone to just get along. I remember at one point someone saying they wanted to shove me in a locker.

Around 2005 I got accepted to a musical theatre school and stopped posting on m.net, I just disappeared, never even resigned my mod position. Sorry. The name ChingLing eventually got purged, and I've changed as well. I'm a guy, I'm 30, studying acting in university with a bunch of 19 year olds. I no longer believe everyone should get along and concede that sometimes people need a swift kick in the rear, or even better, to be ignored. Or maybe I'll ignore them while giving them a swift kick in the rear.

Anyway, I registered again so I could pop in and post now and then, but I don't know anybody any more.

Welcome back Jeh

I joined MdN in 2003 and pop back in every now and then - mostly for nostalgia. The forums were a very exciting place back in the day.

Hey, Chingling... I remember you! Nice to see you're still 'around' (to a given degree anyway). You were a very polite mod.

I joined in about 2002 while doing research for "Anything Goes". I was a regular poster for a long time but now just come for a visit occasionally.

Buff :D

It's great to see people coming back here and reminiscing about the boards. I was active back in middle and high school (especially on the Elisabeth thread) but have since stopped visiting much at all. Still, I occasionally have those "remember that MdN exists" moments--like now. Glad to see some of you here still!

The Duchess of Mint, are you referring to Andrew Keenan-Bolger...?
And wow, no idea this site had such history!

Dear enjolras,

I regret to inform you of the fact that I cannot answer your question, because if I did so, I would have to break Rule 7 of Section G of The Musicals.Net Rule Book.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

SOOO nostalgic... I used to post on here at least once a day for years. Tried to organize people to help me write a musical and participated in all of those virtual cast things (both horrible ideas).
I had a great friend (Robin), who I met on here and we would storm the Godspell board. She passed away and her family notified us on here... it was actually devastating to my teenage self.

Musicals.net was definitely the launching point for my theatre obsession, I've since completed a MT degree and started my own (very successful I might add) production company.

Ah, yes, dear Robin... what a trouper. She was a huge inspiration to many.
MdN seems to have been a launching point for many theatre careers. What a privilege!

This place! I had a wonderful time here from about 2004 to... 2010? Learned a lot. Fangirled a lot. Remember Forum Castings? Are they still a thing? Oh, man. The times.

Anyone remember the Gabbly sensation?

Hello, everyone. Just stopping by.
