Post Order of Curtain Call
What should the order of curtain call be for Annie? Also is it bad form to go from a single bow to joint bows then back to single bows?

Post Re: Order of Curtain Call
In general its the Directors call on order but here are orders I have seen

1.Orphans without names
2.Orphans with names (July, Pepper etc)
3.Adult Female ensemble
4.Adult Male ensemble ( they are usually the Cabinet too)
5.Named Female characters (Pugh, Greer, boylans..), if they are not a step out from main ensemble
6.Name Male ensemble characters ( Burt Healy, etc), if they are not a step out from main ensemble
7.Star to Be ( if not a step out from Named female ensemble)
8. Roosevelt ( usually with Howe)
9. Drake
10. Lily, then Rooster
11.Hannigan
12. Grace
13. Daddy Warbucks
14. Annie ( usually with Sandy)

I've also seen 1,3,4,2,5,6,7,8,9,10,12,11,13,14 and 1-8, then Lily, Drake, Rooster, Hannigan, Grace, Daddy then Annie , I've also seen Star to Be and Drake together.

In general it is bad form to give a single bow to someone before the leads and then double up leads, however, its done all the time, prime example Lily and Rooster are often together and unless Drake and Roosevelt are double, they are after a single bow.

Casings,

First its always the directors call on bows, but in this case, Star to Be, Lily and Rooster should be thanking the director profusely. I hope your Grace is as gracious as her character, she shares a bow with Drake and STB gets a single one? and before Lily and Rooster is in my opinion an error. Grace has significantly more solo singing (even if it is in songs that are not as popular as Easy Street) She leads, Gonna Like it here, has solos in NYC, Leads the FBI song, and the Gussie her up song. In total alot more than Lily and Rooster, she is also in alot more scenes than either of them.

I'm in a production at my School as Daddy Warbucks, ours is:
1. The people of the Hooverville
2. The Servants
3. The Orphans
4. The Cabinet
5. Boylan Sisters, Sophie, Bert Healy

These all come on from the wings, then as the song changes from Never fully dressed to Tomorrow, the following walk through the back of the audience.

6. The Policemen
7. Drake
8. Lily
9. Rooster
10. Hannigan
11. Grace
12. Daddy
13. Annie

Hope this helps

You seem to have missed Grace.

I played Drake and I actually bowed with Mrs. Pugh and FD Roosevelt. I thought it made sense to bow with Pugh, since she was the head maid and Drake is head Butler (Although Pugh's part was smaller) But I didn't get why we were put with FDR. I would have thought FDR and Bert Healey would bow together.

I liked bowing with them though, because the people who played them were two of my favorite cast mates.
