OT: Okay, I will stop trolling...for a moment...
Dear Musicals.Net Posters,
I realize that I have "trolled" about both jokes, and about my own beliefs, but, in all seriousness, my frustrations about other people of my own gender can actually be better summed up in somebody else's words:
"If a woman hits a man it's "empowerment". Around the other way, it's "abuse". If a woman cheats on a man, she will just run to the other room, leaving the two men to fight, as if it is none of her business. If a man cheats, he is an "adulterer". If a woman says sexist things, she is "recognizing the evils of the patriarchy". If a man does it, he is a "misogynist". If there is a women's only club, people will say it caters to women's interests. If there is a men's only club, it will be considered sexist. If a woman gets cosmetic surgery it is because of media pressure. If a man gets PE, he is a perv. Are you noticing a pattern?"
The following quote was literally taken from a page of quotes (there were too many good ones to choose from), but if you search for the quote online, beware of the extreme profanity that will certainly appear on the page from which the quote came.
I am in agreement with the quote, because I believe that it's about time that we women BEHAVE as though we want to be treated as the equals of men. If we want the rewards, then we can't ignore the duties, and if we want the recognition, then we can't have the excuses. Since when did the act of a woman stereotyping herself as a sneaky, cruel, scatterbrained, hormonal, nervous-breakdown-prone disaster ever help the so-called, and/ or the REAL Feminist cause? If THAT'S a Feminist, then the metal bikini version of Princess Leia should become the only Feminist icon worth recognizing.
Sorry, but I doubt that I will ever change my mind, with regards to the aforementioned topic.
Thanks in advance for your replies.
