I saw this a bit late, but I had a biiiiig fun day for Cats' 30th.
Found out my bud, Chaz Wolcott, will be playing Mistoffelees in the 11/12 season! Well, okay, I sorta knew BEFORE then from hints, etc., but he announced it officially that day. I ended up costuming as Magical Misto and doing some silly dances in my backyard... that embarrassed me later as my mom said that my neighbor told her he was watching me take pics on the self-timer. .... creeeeeeeeeper. He might as well have offered to take them!
Also just thought about the show in general and my friends I've because of Cats.
Laura Elizabeth Henning is one of my favorite people in the show. She's so much fun and has such presence onstage!
The way to tell the young tomcats apart actually is simple!
If there is a black circle around the tomkit's left eye and he's flirty/cute with Victoria, it's Pouncival.
If there's a brown patch on the left side of the face with a very short, fan eared wig, and grey warmers that go over the knee, it's Plato. This season, he did more gymnastics than Tumblebrutus. You can also identify him being with Alonzo (in the yellow and brown who looks like he has a mustache) and chilling with Pouncival (who's much shorter).
If there's a brown patch with white around the eye on the right side of the face, and there's one warmer missing, one grey arm warmer, one grey leg warmer, and one brown/orange leg warmer, it's Tumblebrutus. His character traits are to be a complete PITA, so this season you possibly saw Jason Wise play him (exceedingly talented dancer) hitting on many of the queens, having moments of shyness, scratching/making fun of the older toms, etc. He's the tomkit who made a move to attack Macavity and, in doing so, ended up getting Munk's butt handed to him.
I hope this is helpful.
