Post 1999 or 1985 miniseries?
I bought the 2007 BBC miniseries and I really didn't like it, so I was thinking to buy another one, but I can't decide which one to buy, the 1999 or the 1985, which one is better? And more important, which one is closer to the book? Thanks for your help!

(excuse my English, I'm not a native English speaker)

Personally Iv'e not seen either, but I did see "Robert Lindsay" play Fagin in the musical in London and he was brilliant. So I would myself like to see the 1999.

both the Eric Porter and Robert Lindsay mini series are great..but the Lindsay version is superior..it has alot of background story and features the sublime Lindsey Duncan.
