Sad

My prayers are with the injured and the families of the dead.

Question Not quite sure what you mean by that. Do you happen to work at the hospital where he's being treated?

What is likely to happen to a capital murderer in Texas?

ANOTHER shooting less than a day after this one, this time in Orlando: http://news.ca.msn.com/photogallery.aspx?cp-documentid=22532354&page=2

What is this world coming to when we have 2 shootings two days in a row?

It's sad that such things happen in this world. In a way, this is almost like how all those school shootings a couple of years ago were happening left and right. It better not be a repeat of those in this kind of thing.

My prayers are also with those families who lost loved ones in both incidents. It's extremely tragic that something like that can happen in an army base. Haven't these soldiers had enough to deal with overseas? It's bad enough. Why make them feel afraid to even come home?

I wouldn't call that "imminent". Executions usually take place at least five years later...

As death goes, I think five years is pretty imminent for a guy in his thirties.

Truthout spoke with an Army Specialist who is an active-duty Iraq war veteran currently stationed at the base. The soldier spoke on condition of anonymity since the base is now on “lockdown,” and all “non-authorized” military personnel on the base have been ordered not to speak to the press.

Low morale, Depression, Post traumatic stress disorder, and sending soldiers back to hot zones without treatment...well, I should wonder if anyone in the military would be surprised at all.
