Post Ado Annie?
A company near me will be doing Oklahoma soon & i'd love to go for Ado but not sure if i'm suitable. I'm 5 foot 3, weigh 126 lbs ish, shoulder length blond curly hair. I'm confident in my acting & dancing but am not a strong soprano (more mezzo). I often get cast in younger daughter type roles (jeannie in brigadoon, louise in carousel) but i feel i'm better in character roles...any thought..? x

If you look young that could be a problem, but that all depends on the theater. And Ado isn't a very high soprano. She belts up to C#5 in "I Cain't Say No" and I think that's about as high as she sings in her songs. But the entire company should be able to sing up to (at least) an F5 in the company numbers. Go for the role and best of luck!
