I hate how Hugo sings in "One Boy" in the movie. The movie gets just about everything wrong anyway.

hahaha I was thinking the same thing, Angry Woman.

and MY thing I didn't like about the movie, aside from the turtle/russian ballet on speed pills... was Dick van Dyke singing "Happy Face" to cheer Rosie up. And then dancing with a superimposed version of Janet Leigh.

I haven't seen the movie in years (and don't remember it at all), but didn't they cut nearly HALF of the songs from the stage show?

Couldn`t they just use Chita Rivera?Janet leigh sounded like she was being stabbed when she sung.

Chita Rivera isnt much of an actress and on flm she would hav been worse. I would have cast Rita Moreno.
