Last night I saw Zach and Miri Make A Porno with my friend. I was a tad aprehensive about seeing it at first, but was pleasantly surprised. Obviously, it's crude, yet underneath that is a pretty decent story about friendship. There was one scene that was a little too much, otherwise it wasn't too bad.

I loved Zach and Miri, easily one of my favorite comedies this year. I love how kevin smith writes.

Twilight. It was good. I thought it was better than the book *dodges bombs* and I loved Kristen Stewart.

The end.

Oh, right! I momentarily forgot that our engagement was previously established.

Milk
My favorite of 2008. An intresting mix of film and story telling. Some of the footage seemed to be raw giving it a very realistic and truthful feel. Also, within the first five minutes they show a news clip from the end announcing the murder of Milk and the mayor so the rest of the movie isn't trying to make you cry, but rather telling you the brave story of his career. They did not waste time reflecting on the story, but started just before it all begain, a good "why today" to open with. You feel safe knowing what you saw was true because his friends and characters in the movie were the historical consultants. Lastly the likeness of the actors and the real people were incredible. This better win some Oscars.

^Ooh, I saw a preview of that and it looked really good. I didn't realize it was out already.

Watched a movie with my in-laws a few days ago, when they were in town for turkey day. "Martha, meet Frank, Daniel, and Laurence" aka "The Very Thought of You"(US title) No one but me and the people I've shown it to have ever heard of it. No one I've met anyways. It's one of my favorite romantic comedies. Joseph Fiennes. *swoon ** It's not great, but cute with good characters.

Subject is clear. Doesn't have to be in the movie theater, can be a rental or on tv...

The House Bunny- Hilarious! I highly recommend it. Ana Faris is so good in this movie, and sure the plot isn't anything special, but I was entertained and laughing all throughout the movie.

Can it be anything--even my alltime favorite? If so, here goes:

To reduce the risk of turning everybody here off, I'll give as brief a review of this film as I can:

Loosely based on Shakespeare's "Romeo & Juliet" and set on the pulsating, fingersnapping west side of 1950's/1960's New York City,
West Side Story is a beautiful golden oldie-but-goody movie/musical
classic about urban gang warfare, racial and ethnic tensions, and a love and romance that develops amid the conflict between two warring street gangs and disapproval on both sides; the white Ethnic American Jets, and the newly-arrived Puerto Rican Sharks. Tony, who's broken away from the Jets, meets and falls in love with Maria, the sister of the Shark ganglesader, Bernardo, and it's then that the steadily-increasing tensions between the Jet & Sharks escalates sharply and sparks really begin to fly.

Following a war council, a deadly showdown, the rumble erupts, resulting in the deaths of gangleaders Riff and Bernardo, and, ultimately, Tony. After the three deaths, several Jets and Sharks come together to carry Tony's body off, indicating at least a momentary understanding in tragedy by both the Jets & Sharks.

I FINALLY saw West Side Story the other night... I know, I'm deprived and such (I actually didn't see The Sound of Music until this summer, but we don't talk about that...) and I loved it beyond comprehension.
In theatres the day before, I saw Bolt, which I was pleasantly surprised with. :]
