My choir director at My high school senior year Had all 7 of us guys sing "Nothing Like a Dame" for a concert!

Let me start of by saying Im in Love with "South Pacific" have been since I saw it at my old High school like 9 Years ago(first high school musical I saw)

My choir teacher told us that she always called the show "South Pathetic"

I didnt agree one bit...it was quite funny!

I'm choreographing it at a local high school this coming spring.

It's not my favorite R&H (Carousel is) but it's a good one.

My favs are

Carousel
The King and I
Oklahoma

South Pacific is easily R&H's best show. followed by Carousel and king and I.

the only one of their shows I really dislike is Sound of Music.

I agree with both of you...those two are the worst.

My list is

1. South Pacific
2. Carousel
3. Cinderella (only because I was in it, hahaha)
4. (tie) Oklahoma and The King and I
5. Flower Drum Song
6. State Fair
7. Sound of Music
8. Allegro
9. Pipe Dream
10. Me and Juliette

I did this show, and it had a terrible book. The show is charming in itself, but all the songs are borrowed from other shows. I mean, when the the climax of the show is a pickle judging contest...

The only reason it's even #6 is because of Boys and Girls Like You and Me, which brings me back to my fond memories of doing Cinderella.

Ah, good times...

Boys and Girls was originally written for Oklahoma.

I like Me and Juliet and Allegro alot better than Sound of music and Cinderella.

South Pacific is a very wonderful show. definately their best.

I'd have to disagree with a lot of you, because I really am not a fan of The King and I. (maybe it's only because my choir teacher love it, and we watch it at least three or four times a year.)

I think the King and I has a great book but the music, for the most part, bores me to tears.

My top R&H is: South Pacific, Carousel, Oklahoma!

I have yet to get through all of Allegro...but from what parts of the script I have read, I think I would love it.

Least favorite: Pipe Dream.
