I work at UMGD and I heard the soundtrack comes out July 8th, I am so excited!! I saw the show in Vegas and fell in love, I am sure the movie will be good, who knew Meryl Streep could sing? lol. What does everyone think?

I'm excited for the soundtrack- it's always nice to hear new voices and new orchestrations! :D

Ditto.

BTW, I give a very good rendition of the song "Mamma Mia".

I'm interested as well. I only know of the West End recording and I think there is a Russian version. Very successful CD but unlike other shows, few cast recordings.

I wonder if they'll work in "encore songs" in the closing credits? They've got to include "Waterloo" somehow. It would be even more interesting if "Waterloo" can be included in the film's story itself.

I have just listened to "The Winner Takes it All" from the Movie Soundtrack, and Meryl Streep has ruined the song! Or perhaps the director did it, but the song is completely messed up! It has no peak at all, in is very weak, no power in it at all..

It is like she's crying while she sings, it's so pittyful..

I don't know actually, my brother got it to my mac somehow, I'm really bad when it comes to those sort of things, so we usually have the CD's.. I only have Mamma Mia!, Dancing queen, The Winner Takes it All, Gimme, Gimme, Gimme (which by the way is really annoying!), Take a Chance on Me, I Have a Dream, and that's it..

I think some of the orchestrations are better, but overall the movie soundtrack is really bad compared to Mamma Mia! the Musical or Mamma Mia! på Svenska..

I'm very much obssessed with the song Honey Honey.

I bought the Mamma Mia! soundtrack. I was amazed at how good it is. Then I learned that Benny Andersson used 3 of the musicians who originally recorded the songs with ABBA: guitarist Lasse Wellander, bassist Rutgar Gunnarsson, and drummer Per Lindvall.

I LOVE the soundtrack, in fact I listen to it all the time, I'm listening to it now. But I feel very cheated b/c they excised the following songs from it. I would have loved to hear them.

Excised songs
"I Have a Dream" (Prologue) - Amanda Seyfried

"Chiquitita" - Christine Baranski and Julie Walters

"I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do" - Cast

"Mamma Mia (Reprise)" - Cast

"Dancing Queen (Reprise)" - Cast

"Waterloo" - Cast
