I've been reading a little bit about how the touring cast seems to switch things up from state to state. For instance, whent hey were in Georgia they played "Tara's Theme" during the "You Won't Succeed on Broadway" scene, and when I saw it in Arkansas, they made a Razorbacks joke during the "Knights Who Say Ni" scene.

I was wondering what inside jokes you guys caught from your home state when you saw it? Where there any that you caught?

Yep yep!
I saw it in South Bend, which is where Notre Dame is.
And they made fun of Charlie Weis. (Notre Dame head coach)

I'm from Boston, so I when I saw it during Knights who say NI! we got "pahk ya cah in the hahvahd yahd" and at the keeper of the grail part we got "and to ever be revered in Boston like Paul Revere and Diane Wilkenson" a senate senator who like week before it was revealed she'd been taking bribes from the state.

When I saw it at home (in Raleigh, North Carolina) they referenced Clay Aiken and Michael Jordan, if I remember correctly...!

When I saw it in London...I don't remember what they said, but I feel like they mentioned the Queen? XD

I saw it in Pittsburgh a few years back (2005 or 06) and we had "I wave my Terrible Towel at you" and Robin played "Here We Go" on the piano. Both of these are references to the Steelers (football team) who had just won the Super Bowl the year before...not that it matters with that town. There were a couple of other random things, but I don't remember what they were exactly.

The first time I ever saw Spamalot was a few days after Michael Jackson died. You can imagine...

Did they throw in a bunch of Jackson jokes? A lot of shows did a sincere tribute to him as a pre-show or curtain call... funny that Spamalot would skewer him.

The Knight who says Ni made a "oo oo!" Jackson-like sound in the forest scene, then turned to the audience and bowed his head and said, "Oh, Michael, you touched many people..." and some of the audience clapped, and then he looked up and said, "...allegedly!"

There were also a few Jackson dance moves in the ensemble throughout the show, and the Lady of the Lake did some Jackson-like riffs in a few of her songs.
