do you think i would enjoy it even though i haven't seen the monty python films?

well, abvously you don't know me, but do you think people who havn't seen the monty python films could get enjoyment out of it?

I do. I think you could seem them in ANY order. They make references to the movie, but not to a confusing extent.

To be honest, it will probably do you some benefit not to have seen the movies first.

I know a lot of huge Monty Python fans who hate Spamalot. (Granted, it's mainly on principle: They haven't seen it... only heard the songs or whatever.)

I will agree that the musical isn't as "Python" as their films. The Lady of the Lake, for example. Don't get me wrong; I find her character very funny, but she's not particularly "Python".

As it happens, I can appreciate both Monty Pythons original stuff and Spamalot to be equally hilarious without letting the fact that they're not quite the same thing get to me.
