What is this show actually about?
I love the Python TV series and the film[s] but don't have any idea what the show actually contains. Is it all new music or old Python stuff etc?
Thanks.

hm.... I've never seen it, but you get the idea from the CD. It does go off in its own direction in some places, most noticbly the ending, but it is basiclly just the Holy Grail movie on stage.

It's Python.
Does it really matter what the show is about?
Andy.

It was up for original score so you can assume it was written for the show. It's based ( or "lovingly ripped-off" ) of the MP film "The Search for the Holy Grail."

It uses 3 classic python songs...Bright Side of life..Knights of the round table..finland and brave sir robin. the rest of the score is all new.
the book is based heavily on the film but it diverts in parts it also ties up the ending quite differently from the film. it adds the lady of the lake to tie things together and help the plot move laong. it also has a clever way of rationalizing the principals playing various roles.
