I'm not familiar with Blood Brothers, but I always felt that Chisolm was the most underrated Spice Girl and hands down the best singer of all five. So, I'm thrilled that she's foraying into musical theater.

I saw Melanie C in Blood Brothers this March and she was really good. Her voice is strong and she played the role perfectly! I'm not sure that Mel B is playing Paulette in Legally Blonde - I heard that Denise Van Outen is. I think she would also be good in the West End, though. I'm not sure about the other 3 and I don't think they have strong enough voices - especially Posh!

I wish Mel C was still in Blood Brothers! The musical is amazing in itself, though. I can't wait to see it again! I found a really helpful page for anyone who is considering seeing Blood Brothers in London, as it lists lots of different ticket companies and their prices.

I think Melanie C did very well in Blood Brothers, she was even nominated for Oliver Award and Evening Standard Theatre Award...
someone even recorded her on stage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hhvl7dlP67E

Am going to see Blood Brothers (again!) tomorrow in London, seems they're keeping with the ex girl band members theme as now they have Natasha Hamilton, ex Atomic Kitten as Mrs Johnstone. Seems she's had fab reviews so I can't wait.

The Spice Girls would be an amazing Musical! A group of zany girls singing their way through their crazy adventures. I can just imagine what they would get themselves into. Who's writing this? I'll write it!

I haven't seen Blood Brothers, but I can certainly imagine that it is great.

I think Ginger Spice would be an interesting choice to be in a retro show like Anything Goes - she has the look and voice to go along with it.

I just saw this... and honestly, I'm not surprised. If any Spice Girl could make it on the West End, it would be Melanie C. Even though Ginger was my favorite Spice Girl growing up, I went back and listened to their first album the other day... Sporty was definitely the best singer (followed by Ginger or Scary). I would love to see her in this role... I mean, they're singers. Some of them weren't as good as others (*cough* POSH *cough*), but hey.. Let 'em do what they can with what they have.

And now I'm thinking of casting the rest of Legally Blonde with Spice Girls.. Baby would be Elle. :)

Edit: Just re-read the first post: In my head, Mel B would be a PERFECT Mimi!

Mel C definitely has the best voice! I can't really see the others in a musical - maybe Emma Bunton or Geri Halliwell, but definitely not Posh Spice!

And she'd be the first one to agree with you. :)

Victoria Beckham actually went to a theatre school pre-Spice Girls, but I do agree that Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell aren't strong singers.
