Post Grease Audition- Sandy or Rizzo?
So...
I am auditioning for a kids production of Grease, and kinda need some help.
I am twelve years old. I have a soprano voice but the acting I have done in the past calls for Rizzo. I usually play the villain. (Can also play spoiled, stuck up jerkface) I can audition for both parts but it would be a great help to know what I would be better at. I am not a big dancer. Everyone gets a part, but not everyone gets a big part. (There are VERY little kids in the programme)

Also, does Grease have much dancing?!?

Give some examples of the jerkface roles you've played. Also, there is some dancing, but if you're going for a female lead, I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm currently choreographing this version of Grease, and Sandy has the least amount of dancing for sure.

Cat from HONK! and this stuck up, rich brat from a show loosely based off of Glee. I have played a maid before, but that was quite a while ago. The jerkface roles were my most recent roles and from the same kids' theater program. I am also very loud... Not sure that I can play the quiet type so well. My acting skills miiight not be good enough to play such a shy, good-girl character. On the other hand, would I have to hit very low notes as Rizzo?!?

The musical is long finished now. :) I got the part of Rizzo, and the notes weren't too low for me to sing. I only had group songs so...yeah...

Doesn't Rizzo have two solos (Look At Me I'm Sandra Dee and There Are Worse Things I Could Do)?
