Post Musical theatre monologue help.
Dear all, hoping to get your help on this one.

My friend is auditioning for musical theatre school in the UK. She needs a monologue from a modern play (written after 1979) and this has to be written for a girl aged 18-20 and English.

FYI, this is only one part of the audition process and my friend has spent a lot of time working on the other monologue (Shakespeare) and two songs and two dances so she isn't being lazy by asking for help (we had a response previous to this suggesting ny friend is lazy - totally not the case, the musical theatre school has set a very short deadline!).

Anyway, thank you for reading and hope you can help!

Only thing I can really give off the top of my head is: step outside MT. Not that there's no good monologue in MT, but the really gripping, good moments become songs. Look in the world where they make those monologues.
