Post Legally Blonde
Hello. It's been a while since I've posted here. Anyway, I'm auditioning for Legally Blonde hopefully soon.

I'd be looking into characters like Enid or Paulette (most likely) and I am looking for a very pop-y musical theatre song because they are asking for a song in the style of the show (16-32 bars). I was looking at maybe a Kerrigan-Lowdermilk song or some Scott Alan but I'm not sure. I would love to throw some ideas around. I have quite a bit of time to prepare for the audition, over a month and I would just love some help. Thanks so much!

(:

If you're looking for a classic, "Look At Me, I'm Sandra Dee" from Grease or "Cabaret" from Cabaret might work.
However, if you're looking for something more modern which I think you might be since it's a modern show, maybe give these a try.
Part of "Plain Jane Fat Ass" from Bare: A Pop Opera, you'd have an audition length section if you change Jason's line "You know that you're insane" to "You may say I'm insane".
Meat's part of "I Want It All" from We Will Rock You
"I Ain't Got Time" from Zanna Don't

You could also look at "Here I Am" from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
It's belty, in the same general vain as the show for style, and the ditzy bits are quite reminiscent of Paulette.
