Post Songs for Madame Thenardier?
I'm auditioning for Les Mis in about two weeks, and I'm looking for an uptempo song that would help them see me as Madame Thenardier...I'm having trouble finding any because I can't belt higher than a B/Bb. Would "Little Girls" from Annie be a good match? I have "If They Could See Me Now", "100 Easy Way to Lose a Man", and "You Can Always Count On Me" in my repertoire, but I don't think they fit Les Mis in terms of style or Thenardier in terms of character. Does anyone have any other song suggestions?

Thanks! :)

Hmm... that is tough. Perhaps "Dirty Old Man" from A Funny Thing... Forum?

Little Girls isn't too bad, either, if that's the one you know the best and can sell it, and don't have time to learn something new, go for that one. Also be familiar with Mme. T's part in Master of the House in case they want you to sing from the show.

I know i might be a bit late for this response, but i'm gonna tell you anyway :P

I played Madame Thenardier in a NODA Award-Winning Production of the School Version 2 years ago and we had to sing that part in Master of the House... basically just be vile and loud and brash in anything you sing. And If there's a sexual connotation "There's not much there..." make the most of that 8-)

Best of luck :)
