Post Little Women
Im 14, I was thinking of auditioning for Little Women, as the part of Luarie Lawernce.

I'm not sure what song to sing, any suggestions?

Also, if you would be super kind and explain his character to me that would be amazing!

First of all, boy has a HIGH voice! Be prepared to pull some notes out of your bum. Laurie is the boy next door who is brave enough to befriend all four March sisters. He is bold, fun, and adventurous, and he falls rapidly in love with brash, tomboyish Jo. He pursues her relentlessly, but she misinterprets his advances as merely friendly. The bubble pops when he proposes to her, and she is shocked and offended. Later in the play, he gets together with the youngest March sister, pretty but immature Amy.

You will want to sing something boyish, playful, upbeat, and rangy. "The Surrey With The Fringe On Top" from Oklahoma captures the spirit of his sweet flirtation, though it's a baritone song.

If you're willing to try Sondheim, "Johanna" from Sweeney or "Giants in the Sky" from Into the Woods both show the boyish range.

Or consider "Love I Hear" from A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.

None of those suggetsions really fit the style of music in the show, fantinefleur. I would recommend "Go the Distance" from Disney's Hercules or possibly a Stephen Schwartz song like "Lost in the Wilderness" or "Corner of the Sky".
