Thanks for the links. They'll look very useful. :) I'd also recommend this book: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Writing-Musical-Theater-Allen-Cohen/dp/1403963959/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1368820421&sr=8-1&keywords=allen+cohen+steven+l.+rosenhaus I just got a copy a week or so ago and it's been helping me a lot.

Space Voyage: The Musical Frontier
I didn't write it, but I was in it and originated one of the characters. I have actually been looking for people to give some honest feedback and I know the writers are looking for responses too! It's hard to get real feedback from musical that have just been published.
It's a Star Trek and other Sci-Fi Parody musical called Space Voyage: The Musical Frontier
It's a full length entirely original musical in the style of off-broadway shows, and it was produced entirely by students at University of WI-Madison. I suppose it is similar to A Very Potter Musical and other StarKid musicals in the sense that it was made by college students but I know the writers took over 4 years to complete the show and we only recently premiered it.
The full show can be seen on youtube at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvbJx1kI ... q3Sy6vOmUq
so please check it out if you want and be sure to leave a comment on what you think!
Thanks in advance for you feedback!

I've written five: adapts of the films Juno, You Can't Take It With You, and John Tucker Must Die. The other two are original pieces: Wind Child (about a girl who grows up inside a tornado and then is expected to live among society) and Don't Sing For The Ladies (an autobiographical piece about my first two years of doing community theater).

havent written one myself, but my friend has, and i was lucky enough to be in its very first pubic performance; a condensed workshop that was an opportunity to present 6 original songs (+ some reprises) he had composed.

the link for the trailer, with footage and audio clips is here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55areQQEfgM

I wrote a one-act musical when I was in high school for a senior project titled The Bluebird. Thought apart from a reading in the drama class it was never performed.

People who use spam bots could at least program them to say things that make sense. :lolno:

Anyway. My lyrics are almost done now. I just have a little work to do on the story and then it's all music.

In light of me not really knowing how to get a lyricist partner, I just went and looked for lyric tutorials and I found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0fmvDp6LLQ

And it's tailored towards musical theatre as well :D So if anyone needs help with writing musical theatre lyrics, that covers all the basics (though it sadly never got finished properly).

Edit : What? How did I not only manage to repeat myself in the following post, but not notice until a year later? Fail. See below, I guess.

Apologies for the double post, but I've discovered something that may help those struggling with lyrics: This is a free online songwriting course offered by Berklee. And almost all of it concentrates on the lyrics. The current course actually finishes today, but there is a watch button you can click on to be emailed next time it's being run. :)
