Post Avenue Q on a budget?
How would one put on a production of Avenue Q in a tiny theater with a small budget? It's quite effects-heavy with the giant Kate Monster that pops up over the set. And also some theaters might not have the technology or space to put up the screens to show the animation on.

The giant Kate Monster wasn't even mentioned in the school edition script; it's definitely unnecessary. The animations aren't necessary either. The biggest necessary expense for this show would be the puppets.

I think the animations are necessary.

What animations are you referring to? I haven't seen the full show; are there necessary ones during the show that the school edition eliminated? Otherwise I don't see how the ones we used are in any way necessary.

for the animations you could wheel in one of those really old giant retro 90's tv's you had when you watched videos in class and show them on there, since avenue q is has a grown-up sesame street vibe to it, so it would be in keeping with that., just an idea :)

I suppose the giant kate monster can be easily removed from the show, I wouldnt imagine it too hard to cut, apart from those aspects I dont think that there are any other huge expenses, there are loads of different ways to mimic the set, be creative!

Sonny, when I watched old videos in class, the '90s hadn't even been INVENTED yet.
