Post Anyone read The Performing Set? (Eckart scenic designs)
I recently purchased a fascinating book on the careers of William and Jean Eckart - secenic (and sometimes coustume) designers for about half of the major shows of from 1954-65 and some later.
It is fascinating, and has lots of examples of their work I'd never seen.

Shows include original Bway/O- Bway productions of The Golden Apple, Damn Yankees, She Loves Me, Mame, Fiorello!, Li'l Abner, Once Upon a Mattress - the list goes on and on, and 1957 TV Cinderella. Also lots of anecdotes.

Has anyone else read this?

The author is Andrew B. Harris
