Cabaret was the second show I ever did, at my former HS (they lost someone like a week before curtain and called me, a couple years after graduating, having done a total of one show [in the chorus] in desperation to fill in). I'm not intimately familiar with all aspects of the show, as that production was the only one I've seen or been involved with, but I have to wonder what, other than the traditional toplessness of the Kit Kat dancers, which is, of course, not manditory, is inappropriate? I think it treats the subject of the growing Nazism and the various reactions to it very well.

My high school overseas did "Gypsy" my senior year and we did (although not a musical) "Dog Sees God" the same year. Talk about controversial central.
