hmm.

not gonna let some cry-baby call me a sick f*ck and just get away with it. that would make them think they won - and there is no winning here. just had to clear that up.

If there is no winning then pray tell why did you feel the need to respond?
If you really were strong in your convictions and believed in what you said then you really would've felt no need to defend your words.
Words are empty...actions speak volumes.

oh, well you sure told me...

NOTE TO ALL: I AM DONE POSTING ON THIS THREAD. THIS IS IT. QUIT ACTING LIKE YOU'RE PROVING ME WRONG. I'M DONE!!!

My intent wasn't to prove anyone wrong...merely to make you think about your motivations...there are so many here that fail to do so.

However...if you choose to be a tool about the entire issue...be my guest. I don't think anyone will stop you...or care to.

This community had just lost a beloved member who had been battling cancer and all the people cracking jokes and trying to look so clever in their dislike of another person who is going to be fighting the same battle disgusted me.

I understand people are different and they will respond based on the way certain things have affected them personally. My apologies if you were not aware of what happened. But if you were, my comment stands.

I was just reminded of Robin...

She was a legend, I miss her so much. Such an inspiration and always willing to help me (and others) when in need.

I don't think Robin would be too impressed with some of the reactions on this thread, so let's all just drop it and let this thread rest whilst hoping for a speedy recovery for Webber.

Post Update
Andrew Lloyd Webber was admitted to hospital last night with a "postoperative infection following surgery to remove his prostate three weeks ago". The operation was apparently successful and it looks as if he will be released after a few days once the infection has been treated.

Again, only wishes for a speedy recovery to him.

Later days
David

Thank you to everyone who has been in touch to wish me a speedy recovery from my recent surgery, I was very touched by all the messages of support. I am now convalescing at home, working on the stage orchestrations for Love Never Dies, walking my Van cats and hoping to be back in action in the new year.

It's nice to see he's doing well.

Post A message for Andrew Lloyd Webber!
Dear Andrew Lloyd Webber,

I know that you will probably not read this message, but I want you to know that your extensive catalog of musical works will last forever!

The very first musical about which I became somewhat fanatical was "CATS". I was born in 1979, so that I was only about 8, or 9, or so, when I discovered the musical, but I must say that I remember well the magic that it held for me.

I was a fan of felines, anyway, but your musical allowed me to go truly crazy about cats! I sang the songs. I made a cat mask, out of paper and kleenex, of all things, and I even made cat treats (marshmallows, licorice for the whiskers, and such), so that I could perform some "CATS" songs for my family.

I think that I saw "CATS", live, three years in a row, or so.

Over the course of the years, I realized that I loved more than one of your musicals. I was able to see "Joseph" and "Starlight Express" live!

I am glad to know that you are recovering. I hope that you are able to recover completely, so that you can enjoy the coming years with a sense of optimum health.

Thank you for being creative, inspiring people, and writing some truly excellent songs that so many people love listening to!

Thank you also for responding to everybody who has wished you well so far; you really seem to care about your fans.

If you have the occasion to read this message, feel free to reply to it at your leisure.

I hope that your Christmas is enjoyable!

Thank you in advance for your reply.
