Post Curtain Call Order
Hello,

Just curious about the typical order of bows at the curtain call in Beauty and the Beast. Does anyone know what the order is on Broadway/the National Tour? For the posters that have been in the show, how did you do the curtain call in your show? Thanks!

Hmm.....I believe that would be best suited in the RENT forum... :?: :| :? Alrighty, then.

Anywho, this is something like how it went in my show:

1. Chorus
2. Prince, Maurice & Monsieur D'Arque (odd, I know)
3. Silly Girls
4. Gaston & Lefou
5. Cogsworth & Wardrobe
6. Mrs. Potts & Chip
7. Beast
8. Belle

If I have forgotten ayone, then scream at me.

....off the top of my head...

1) Ensemble dancers
2) Ensemble singers
3) Mssr D'Arque and Chip
4) Madame and Babette
5) Lefou
6) Maurice
7) Cogsworth
8) Mrs Potts
9) Lumiere
10) Gaston

That's always the same. Beast and Belle all depend on who's in the role of Belle. If it is an "unknown", Belle goes after Gaston and Beast is last. If it is a celebrity, she will get the last bow.

Hmmm.......

That surprises me that the Beast would get the last bow when Belle's part is so much larger. The story is told from her perspective and I kind of think the show is carried by her. But then again maybe I'm biased  .
I asked because I'm playing Belle and the awesome thought occured to me a few days ago that I could bow last, which has never even come close to happening to me before. So it's sounds like a maybe right now?

Star, I completely agree with you to be honest. Belle is known to have more screen time in the film than any other character, so in the show, she can't be far behind in stage time. Right now, Steve Blanchard, who is playing Beast in NY, has the highest "seniority" in the show, I believe. Been there for YEARS as both Beast and Gaston. So that MAY have something to do with it. But yeah, one would think it would belong to Belle. Personally, I say let them have equality, as it is Beauty AND the Beast, but that's just me! LOL

I say let Gaston Go last!!! lol just kidding If I were doing I would keep people pared becuase I hate long Curtain calls. Because I know theres alot of stage time with belle But I think compared to other charactors every body thats a lead has a big part. I mean if you want to go leading roles you have close to 4 or five. Belle does edge out everybody by a little bit. So she and the beast together should have the last bow. PLus if you keep everybody kind of paired with there counter part its always nice to have a Charactorised bow like Cogsworth and Lumiere have a quick little spat abot who bows first. gaston Shoves Lefou out of the way for his Bow. The beast Leads Belle onto the stage and they elegantly bow. stuff like that but f course just my opinion.
(Ensemble)
(Ensemble)
D'arque & Bouche
Babbette & Maurice
Chip & Pots
Cogsworth & Lumierre
Gaston & Lefou
Belle & Beast

In ours, it was:

1. kids (salt & pepper, flatware, wolves, etc)
2. ensemble (like dishes and stuff)
3. Silly Girls
4. Enchantress and beast double/rug
5. prince and D'arque and Maurice (I think...)
6. Wardrobe and Cogsworth
7. Lumiere and Babbette
8. Mrs Potts and Chip
9. Gaston and Lefou
10. Beast
11. Belle
