Post Follies OBC vs. Follies Highlights from the OBC.
Okay, I am thoroughly confused.

I got, what it says on the cover, Follies original broadway cast yesterday at a thrift store.

I look at it through iTunes. Original Broadway cast...

I look at it at Amazon. I see:

http://www.amazon.com/Follies-Original- ... 088&sr=8-2

http://www.amazon.com/Follies-Highlight ... 088&sr=8-1

They look like the same exact thing!

What is the difference?

They are exactly the same. The recording of Follies is a Highlights recording. The whole show was not recorded. The difference is the price, I believe.

Then I'm confused why would they call it two different names?

was re-released in 2006, according to Amazon.

The 1992 release from Angel remastered the OBC, and perhaps they probably thought it was more honest to say 'highlights'?

(Then on the re-release on Capital they changed their mind, I guess. Not sure if there is any difference in terms of mastering between the CDs).

If I recall correctly, the one labeled "Original Broadway Cast" includes one extra song that was recorded but not included on the original release, and that's "One More Kiss." I guess they renamed the original one released and called it "Highlights." You're only gaining one extra track, though, and it's a really good one. So if you want, it's worth the extra dollar or so.
