My favourite version is the one by Ruthie Henshall (as posted on the first page). I loved the whole rendition, but particularly the last lines. "There ought to be clowns" line was the best part - she delivered it with such subtle frustration and disappointment in such a genuine manner!

Someone was complaining Glenn Close. She's good, but she has some bizarre ways of pronouncing some words and doesn't have all the..hmm..right pauses. I liked it though. CZJ does a really nice version. There was only one place I thought she was a bit scoopy, but overall it was a lovely performance from a rich and untrained voice which was very effective!

Literally, from the opening phrase I could tell that this is one of the finest versions of the song EVER. I'm obsessed with her even more now.
