Post The A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC YouTube Thread
The website for the revival of A Little Night Music has been launched. There's not too much content yet, but I expect it will pick up. There is a link to a video on YouTube, which has short interviews with Angela Lansbury, Alexander Hanson, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Leigh Ann Larkin, Trevor Nunn, Lynne Page, Aaron Lazar, Ramona Mallory, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka and Erin Davie.

What else popped up on YouTube is a second set of interviews from the same event as in the video we've already seen, and its interesting to hear the director and actors spin what they're saying from interview to interview.

My favourite bit is the part where Nunn compares Sondheim (favourably) to Sondheim and Chevhov. That's almost exactly what the show feels like to me! Other videos:

 "Lansbury and Zeta-Jones Talk Night Music to Reuters" at BroadwayWorld

I am sooooo looking forward to this revival. I hope we get lots of material to post in this thread, like this great snippet of "Send in the Clowns" from the revival production.

Later days
David

BroadwayWorld is offering a "sneak peak" of the revival. It's wonderful.

Oh my gosh, that's fantastic! I wish I didn't live so far from NYC.

Though i'm not totally sure how I feel about Catherine yet. It seems like she's almost trying to sing too well, like it's not totally genuine. Though honestly I may just be so used to Glynis John's voice. I love the set and staging though, and Angela, looks like it's going to be a great production.

I'm not sure how I feel about how she's singing that part of the song....maybe I'm just used to the Judy Dench video. Maybe by the time I get to that part of the show when I see it in January, I will be used to her singing enough and it will make more sense to me.

Two minor additions:

CZJ sounds like she's trying WAYY too hard, esp. in "You Must Meet My Wife". It's intended to be more casual, sarcastic and witty. She was like screaming at him, when it's supposed to be simple. "No, I'd strike her first!" loses all of it's humor when it's done the way she did it... same goes for "I'll bring my knife". What a shame :(
