Show by Show - Favourite Songs
Some of these were really hard to choose just a couple. For the revues, I've considered only cut songs that didn't appear in other scores originally, although they may have been reincorporated in later productions, or songs created for revivals that haven't secured a permanent space in the show itself.
West Side Story: "Something's Coming", "Cool", "A Boy Like That/I Have a Love".
Gypsy: "Some People", "Rose's Turn", "Everything's Coming Up Roses".
Forum: "Comedy Tonight", "Everybody Ought to Have a Maid", "Bring Me My Bride".
Anyone Can Whistle: "Me and My Town", "Anyone Can Whistle", "Everybody Says Don't".
Do I Hear a Waltz?: "Do I Hear a Waltz?", "Someone Woke Up", "Moon in My Window".
Evening Primrose: "If You Can Find Me I'm Here", "I Remember", "Take Me to the World".
Company: "You Could Drive a Person Crazy", "Being Alive", "Another Hundred People".
Follies: "I'm Still Here", "Waiting for the Girls Upstairs", "Losing My Mind".
A Little Night Music: "A Weekend in the Country", "Now/Later/Soon", "Send in the Clowns".
The Frogs: "Invocation and Insturctions to the Audience", "Fear No More"
Pacific Overtures: "Someone in a Tree", "Chrysanthemum Tea", "Pretty Lady".
Side By Side by Sondheim: "The Boy From...", "Can That Boy Foxtrot?".
Sweeney Todd: "A Little Priest", "Johanna (Quartet)", "By the Sea".
Marry Me a Little: "Happily Ever After", "Who Could Be Blue?/Little White House", "All Things Bright and Beautiful".
Merrily We Roll Along: "Rich and Happy", "Like it Was", "Not a Day Goes By".
Sunday In The Park With George: "We Do Not Belong Together", "Putting It Together", "Sunday".
Into The Woods: "Giants in the Sky", "Moments in the Woods", "I Know Things Now".
Dick Tracy: "More", "Live Alone and Live It", "Back in Business"
Putting It Together: "Ah, But Underneath", "Country House", "There's Always a Woman"
Passion: "I Read", "Loving You", "Is This What You Call Love?".
Saturday Night: "So Many People", "Saturday Night", "A Moment With You"
Assassins: "The Ballad of Booth", "Everybody's Got the Right", "Unworthy of Your Love".
Later days
David

Company: "Side by Side by Side", "Being Alive", "Company"
Follies: "In Buddy's Eyes", "Losing My Mind", "Beautiful Girls"

Sweeney Todd: "A Little Priest", "Johanna", "Not While I'm Around"
Merrily We Roll Along: "Good Thing Going", "Not a Day Goes By", "Opening Doors"
Sunday in the Park With George: "Sunday", "Putting It Together", "Move On" (I have a soft spot for "Gossip" as well--the Old Lady in that song just cracks me up..."Those girls are noisy!")

Only writing down the shows I've seen or heard enough to have an opinion on.
ASSASSINS - UNWORTHY OF YOUR LOVE
COMPANY - GETTING MARRIED TODAY
SWEENEY TODD - CITY ON FIRE
INTO THE WOODS - YOUR FAULT
A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC - EVERY DAY A LITTLE DEATH
SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE - WE DO NOT BELONG TOGETHER
A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM - LOVELY
PACIFIC OVERTURES - PLEASE, HELLO
FOLLIES - THE ROAD YOU DIDN'T TAKE
ANYONE CAN WHISTLE - ANYONE CAN WHISTLE
THE FROGS - INVOCATION AND INSTRUCTIONS TO THE AUDIENCE
MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG - NOT A DAY GOES BY
PUTTING IT TOGETHER - BANG!
And that is all, I believe.

^ I agree, I love "No Place Like London." If I had to live without anything in the Sweeney score (it's a hard choice; the score is essentially perfect), it'd be "The Contest." It's not even that I full-on dislike it, either--it's a perfectly enjoyable song. I just enjoy it the least, I suppose.

I think I would have to agree with you, Elliott. There's just something about The Contest that somewhat puts me off (like you, I do like the song, of course, it just pales a bit in comparison to the rest of the score). I don't like Pirelli's character in general to tell you the truth.

Whoa, guys! I really don't dislike No Place Like London...it's just that I always tend to remember it as just a double reprise of "Ah, Miss" and "Epiphany" combined with some sexually solicitous dialogue by the Beggar Woman.
However, I do much appreciate it as exposition for the story. For the record, I love "The Contest" more as a theatrical piece than a song. Carry on!
