A question about the title character in The WizI
Is he a James Brown type character or just a regular person? I was thinking about using Fake Your Way to the Top from DreamGirls or if anybodyelse has something better, I'm game.

I think anything uptempo from Dreamgirls would be good. In terms of the Wizs character, I think Lou Rawls might be a better reference frame.

Thanks. I remembered I saw it and I think he wasn't as over the top.

After looking at Fake your Way to the Top, I suggest somethingelse. It's more of ensemble number. James has the Dreamettes singing with him.

Would Simple Joys be a good audition song for the title character?
