Post "Skip-over" Songs
What I mean is songs that you always skip over when you listen to a show's repsective cast recording. Can't wait to hear what you come up with!

One comes immediately to mind: Sal Tlay Ka Siti from The Book of Mormon. Sorry, Nutella. It's not a bad song, it just lacks either the comic hit or a catchy musicality to make me want to hear it again. I'd rather get on with the good parts (i.e., the rest) of the show.

"My Heart Leaps Up" or "Hit 'Em On the Head", depending on which version of Mack and Mabel.

You really skip the Les Mis Prologue? That's one of my favourite pieces from the show!

Gus: the Theatre Cat. I love the Cats soundtrack but that song... snore...

Ïn the same boat"(all versions) from Curtains. Not that I don't like it I am just sick of hearing it and thinking about that darn boat in our production last year!

I never skip songs if I'm listening to a whole recording. I listen to single songs, though.

@*Belle: Gus, seriously? I love that song! But, well, to each his own.

However, I usually listen to single songs on my mp3 player when I am doing something. But I sometimes take the time and listen a whole recording - without skipping any song. Same goes for usual CDs, musical movies or concert DVDs (I'm a huge Celtic Woman fan and never skip a song on their DVDs!)
