Should "Jekyll & Hyde" be a movie?
Dear Musicals.Net Posters,
I've never seen "J&H" onstage, but I've seen scenes from it on YouTube, and I'm wondering how gracefully-flowing it could look as a movie musical. I was just watching David Hasselhoff performing a rather awkward rendition of "This Ia The Moment", and the scene change that was going on around him made me laugh. I mean, he's singing this serious song, and those black chairs just start moving offstage...on their own...I HAD to laugh.
I mean, I know that the stage crew had to get him from the parlor to the laboratory during the course of one song, but just think about how much more graceful Dr. Jekyll would look if he were walking downstairs, with a camera following him!
I hope that someday, we'll have the chance to see someone other than The Hoff (Sorry, Mr. "Baywatch" Hotness!) performing in a movie version of "Jekyll & Hyde"!
What do you think?
Thanks in advance for your replies.
