But what it you don't get enough guys, Yakko? What's the alternative? I always feel bad for Lazar Wolf. When I was Tzeitel, my Motel was ... ick. Couldn't stand it. Lazar was a nice looking, 40-ish man who was friendly and funny. We always joked backstage that Tzeitel would totally have picked him irl. Other productions I've seen since usually have a pansy Motel, and Lazar just always looks like a better choice! LOL

Congrats, Rafiki! The nuns have such pretty singing parts, if you have a good group of people who can handle the harmonies and latin!

__________

Ana, how did your production go?

__________
I posted about it, sort of, in the RF thread, but even though I don't know yet what part I have, I will be in a local production of "Beau Jest".

You seem to be getting the "sexy coquettes" roles, Fi! ;) Congrats!

Baha, I know, right?! But it's more like I'm thinking "Right, now which role doesn't have any singing? Okay cool, I'll go for her!"
:P but still awesome !

Long time no post.

While not a musical, I was just cast as Lloyd in a professional production of Noises Off which I'm pretty excited about.

I have callbacks for professional productions of Floyd Collins and Next to Normal coming up later this month as well so...fingers crossed!

Thank you

And yes I have decided to remove myself from retired status. The only reason for me doing so in the first place was based on personal issues and in the last few months all that has changed dramatically and while there are still very stressful issues to get through, I am in a place where I feel I can return to the stage.

Great to have you back, Patch! Congrats on the casting and the callbacks. All three of those sound like fantastic shows.

*Update*

We got enough men to have a production of Fiddler on the Roof so I'm gonna be Lazar Wolfe after all.

Not a musical, but I was just cast as Rose of Sharon in my college's production of The Grapes of Wrath!
The associate director from Little Women on Broadway is the one who's directing us, I'm so excited!

And I have callbacks for Rosemary and Smitty in How to Succeed this week, so hopefully I`ll be back with something to announce about that. :)

Didn't get the Cat in the Hat in Seussical like I wanted. Lost to a girl who said she didn't really want it. But I got General Genghis Khan Schmitz, though I'm struggling with the Fs in his song.
I thought about asking to be the understudy for the Cat, though its not likely I'll get to perform.

EDIT: They have no plans for understudies. Oh well, this part's quite fun.

Was offered ensemble for Floyd Collins but I think I'm turning it down. I just can't justify the drive.

I still have my call back for Dan in Next 2 Normal this weekend so fingers crossed!

Congrats Rorgg, Erica, Patch, Ben, and Yakko!

I have been far too busy recently to post so I hope you all are doing okay! And Glad to see you're still doing theatre, Patch. As for me, I've been having a ton of fun in my college's production of Annie, and have professional auditions (where I have some connections as well) for Mcleod Summer Playhouse in Carbondale. Where they are doing: Hair and Annie (Surprise, surprise). Keeping my fingers crossed, because I love hair.
