Knickerbocker Holiday: The film adaptation is a perfect example of how not to adapt stage shows for film - unless, of course, film adaptations are meant to betray the spirit of the productions on which they are based.

Les Misérables: I don't like the reputation the show has gained as being confusing for reasons like people not being able to figure out what's going on when characters like Jean Valjean, Cosette and Eponine age. It's not at all confusing in that regard if you're old and/or intelligent enough to sit up and engage with what's going on in front of you on stage. This show is better than that.

Story of my life.

As for Love Never Dies, yeah, because sequels to musicals (Bring Back Birdie, Annie Warbucks) have been such a great idea in the past, yeah ("Falsettos" trilogy notwithstanding). Also, thanks for derailing Raoul's character.

Mine as well!

Side Show: the leads are rather whiny, and while that usually doesn't bother me, in this show it's hard to swallow. And Alice Ripley's voice can grate on me.

Seussical: It just doesn't deliver the same feeling of delightfully easy whimsy that the source material does.

Honestly, there's not much about this show that I outright dislike. It's not perfect, obviously, but there are no glaring issues that I can think of. The best I can come up with is that the supporting ensemble can be a bit irritating, lol? Yeah, sorry.

The Sound of Music: Max and Elsa shouldn't be singing. Why do they have to? Because the book is so weak when it comes to handling their characters and the themes that are broached in their songs.

No Strings: That it broached the topic of interracial romance before Golden Boy, yet Golden Boy gets all the hype for the exact same thing.

Peter Pan: Assuming we're talking about the one made famous by Mary Martin, the style of certain parts of it are a bit too brashly American for a British story.
