Post 100th Anniversery Revival?
Anyone think that a revival "celebrating" the 100 year anniversery of the sinking would be the right time to revive the show? Or will the public be too tired out?

While I personally would love to see this, I don't think it would happen. They're already re-releasing the 1997 movie in 3D in honor of the anniversary (pardon me whilst I gag), and I'm sure there will be countless TV specials and such about it for the entire year (History Channel, anyone?), so I just don't think that a revival will happen. If it was, wouldn't it already have to be in the works?

I think it might be great to have a concert of the show that is then subsequently released onto DVD and Blu-Ray, like the recent Les Miserables concert was. Perhaps it could even screen in movie theatres like Company will later this year. I would love to see some use this show to commemorate the sinking of the Titanic.

Now, to whom do we send emails to organise this?

A revival wouldn't **have** to already be in the works, but if that's the plan they better get moving.

A concert sounds like a good idea. I bet they do that.

Also, in addition to the other things going on, there's a big mini-series being filmed. It'll be shown on ABC I believe in the US, but I forget which overseas broadcasting companies are the partners in making it and showing it elsewhere....

My vote is NO... Not because I don't love it, but I am six months into planning for an anniversary run of the show at my community theater and I don't want anything getting in the way, like a revoctaion of rights because a revival or road show get exclusive rights...

We have two local companies scheduled to perform it next April. I would imagine there are many many others as well.

My local (England) Amateur Dramatic Society are doing Titanic in Sept 2012 (Amateur) and I'm trying to get hold of a copy of the script. Would anybody know where I could get one from at a reasonale price?

Please email me at harvard_financial@yahoo.co.uk if you can help.

Thanks
