Post Doubling up the male roles?
Has anyone ever been in a production of Titanic that utilized a smaller cast than the Broadway production? Particularly with the male roles? Is it possible to double up any of the male roles and what would be the absolute minimum number of guys needed to stage the show? Thanks for any help.

Do you mean beyond whats called for in the script? The script has everyone besides the Captain, Andrews, Ismay, Barrett & Bride (and they could in some scenes). Most everyone else plays a minimum of three roles already.

I'm definitely looking for ideas beyond what's called for in the script. Would it be possible to further eliminate the number of males required by having some actors play even more roles than those required in the script?

If you plot your people out, scene by scene, there are a few men that are only in a couple. Charles and Latimer come to mind. Maybe you could do something with that. But I think you will find it kind of "tight". Especially for the large scale look you are going to want. Good luck.
