Post I just got cast as the Beggar Woman
A community theatre near me is doing "Sweeney Todd" and I just got cast as the Beggar Woman! :) Does anyone have any advice for me? I know that's a very general question, but I'm open to any suggestions!

Congratulations! :D
My advice to you would be to see as many different productions of Sweeney Todd as you can. Personally I like the Beggar Woman the best in the Original Broadway show. You can find a recording of that show on YouTube. The Beggar Woman in Tim Burton's movie just doesn't cut it for me. Give the Beggar Woman depth as that's what the Beggar Woman in the movie lacked.

Any lack of 'depth' was from the script not the performance IMO.
