I was looking for that, but I saw no post.

I voted for Hearn, but it was really tricky to pick him between Cariou. :|

Hat's off to Cariou, but Hearn has my vote.

I voted Cariou... George Hearn was great, but I don't like how much he yells. I prefer to listen to Cariou.

Of course this is before I see the movie (I really like what I see), but I doubt my vote will change.

And from what we've seen, I'm not wild about his interpretation, his singing...whatever, but his interpretation I do not approve of.

The way I see it, George Hearn was the better singer. Len Cariou was the better actor.

I think Hearn was both the better actor and singer.

What I've seen of Cariou in the OBC has not impressed me acting wise compared to Hearn.

I liked Cariou in the OBC because he was subtle, and seemed to fit the Ballad's description better: "His voice was soft his manner mild."

They're sorta tied for me. Cariou's singing isn't exactly the best, and I find George Hearn rather overbearing. Hearn's "Epiphany" is amazing, probably the best rendition ever, but the concert version of "My Friends"... I couldn't stand it. Cariou, I feel, did best with "My Friends" on "Johanna." I just feel that he really hit home with those. Much easier to sympathize. However, his "Epiphany" was somewhat, well... bland, compared to Hearn, and again, not the operatic voice that Hearn has.

I just know that Cerveris' rendition of "My Friends" on the Tony broadcast was wooden and overall painful to listen to.
