Post Thoughts on Betty Buckley
I've seen 4 Normas and she was by FAR the best one I'd seen. She knocked every song out of the ballpark and yet managed to retain vulnerability and sadness. She was like a ghost without being too over the top or campy.

There's a great cast recording of her performing 4 songs from the show. Anyone else familiar with it?

I felt next to Glenn CLose she was by far the best. I loved Buckley's chemistry with George Hearn as well.

as a person however, Betty leaves alot to be desired.

Who were the other Normas you saw? What were they like?
(I've never had the privilege of seeing this show live, so I have only recordings to go on, alas.)

That she's an arrogant diva? I wouldn't find that hard to believe...

Of course, we all know she's insane, because she agreed to take part in "Carrie: The Musical"...

She had the best role in Carrie, and her songs (mostly shared with daughter) were the best in the show/actually good (Evening Prayers, Eve was weak, when there's no one etc.)

Post Thoughts on Betty Buckley
My current thoughts on Betty Buckley are basically about how glad I am that she was replaced by Sally Fields in Brothers and Sisters after they decided to ditch the original pilot.

I'm sure she was a very good Norma.
