Yesterday I was cast as maria for sound of music. I need to know what the vocal range is

in doremi part 2 she sings to low c (theoretically) but the important thing is to have a solid upper range. watch the movie again but imagine that she sings a low scale. it soean't need to be in tune/perfect. just funny.

Thanks, on the movie i wasnt really sure if she was a soprano or a mezzo, would a mezzo be okay for the part.

if you can reach those highest notes (lonely goatherd) and be really strong on them, there's no reason why you should be anxious. i mean in the movie, julie andrews still has quite a good lower range for a sop (something good) so you should be great!
